Job Summary:

Quay Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and operating IT security systems, reviewing current system security controls, and implementing remedial actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and operate IT security systems, including next-generation firewalls, intrusion detection, web application firewalls, content filtering, API security, DDoS protection, proxies, endpoint detection and response, network detection and response, user behavior analytics, vulnerability scanning, secrets management, identity and access control systems, application whitelisting, device control, Public Key Infrastructure, and encryption solutions.
  • Review current system security controls and implement remedial actions to ensure the security and integrity of our systems.
  • Develop and operate systems to monitor and analyze security logs and event information to identify potential security threats.
  • Develop and operate systems for security automation to streamline security processes and improve efficiency.
  • Guide technical staff on the implementation of security controls and best practices.
  • Support, plan, and conduct test and evaluation activities for deliverable systems and products to ensure they meet security standards.
  • Demonstrate experience working in a Security Operations Center (SOC) as a Security Analyst.

Requirements:

  • Australian citizenship with either a current Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) security clearance or have held a TSPV in the previous 12-month period (which has since been downgraded).
  • Essential knowledge, skills, and experience in IT security, including security systems, security controls, and security automation.
