Role Overview
- Support the company as a procurement expert.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform procurement planning and sourcing decisions.
Responsibilities
- Compile and source market information to inform procurement planning.
- Conduct sourcing activities to meet project needs and participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements.
- Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure continuous improvement in the delivery of goods and services.
- Analyse and compare offers received, conduct negotiations with sub-contractors, and achieve value for money/effective management of cost.
- Close out commercial qualifications, prepare recommendations for award, and obtain approval per limits of authority.
- Liaise with the offshore team to ensure timely placement of purchase orders and resolve any invoice or payment issues raised by suppliers.
- Identify, mitigate, and escalate procurement risks to enable the project to meet its obligations.
- Contribute to the development of procurement management plans, resolve issues, and negotiate variations through effective supplier relationships.
- Ensure all records are methodically archived in line with procedures as the project progresses.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in sourcing/procurement.
- Bachelors Degree in Finance, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
- Understanding of best practice in procurement policy, processes, and legislation.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, SAP, and Aconex an advantage.
