About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our Construction Management team in Melbourne. This role will be responsible for managing internal and external construction projects, ensuring key deliverables and targets are met. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management, with experience in delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and mentor Site Managers and Site Supervisors to deliver large-scale projects involving multidisciplinary teams.
  • Provide effective construction management, with overall accountability for project sites, resources, and HSE.
  • Contribute to financial management, including cost control, variation management, accurate month-end reporting, project forecasting, and scheduling.
  • Develop and manage effective customer relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare scope for RFQs to engage subcontractors in line with project scope and specification.
  • Ensure all work activities comply with company policies, practices, processes, and standards.
  • Implement a safe working culture and ensure adherence to health and safety policies, procedures, and practices.
Requirements
  • Current certification and qualification in an Electrical Trade or Construction Management.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction management concepts and principles.
  • Detailed knowledge and experience in subcontractor management.
  • Detailed knowledge of technical standards, construction practices, and OH&S.
  • Ability to visualize completed projects to assess risks, opportunities, resource requirements, and materials needed.
  • Demonstrable practical application of construction methodology and integration into project planning phases.
