Initiated Works Delivery Specialist

This permanent role focuses on the end-to-end management of maintenance delivery performed by service providers outside the primary maintenance contract, including targeted network-initiated programs.

Key responsibilities include liaising with stakeholders prior to program delivery to ensure financials, resourcing, and scoping are accurate upon initiation.

The successful candidate will be accountable for packaging and issuing works in an effective manner to assist with timeline compliance, monitoring and managing the status of notification, orders, and WBS.

They will also develop provider capability models, work with the Program Delivery and Performance Lead to identify a forward view of program of works, and issue appropriate works as per agreed model and strategy.

The Initiated Works Delivery Specialist will manage service providers to fulfill delivery obligations, work with all stakeholders to assist with defect rectifications, and run and review reports on the delivery of all programs.

They will monitor items at risk, participate in annual external and internal audit programs, and assist in monthly contractor auditing.

The ideal candidate will have a Tertiary Qualification in Engineering or associated area/discipline, detailed knowledge of electrical distribution asset inspection, maintenance, and asset management principles.

They will possess broad analytical skills to assess strategy, tactics, and plans to achieve commercial and technical asset performance, and a deep understanding of power distribution capital, operational, and maintenance programs.

A strong verbal communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills are essential, along with experience in electrical distribution program delivery and project delivery, and Project Management and Contract Administration is advantageous.

Extensive technical experience in electricity distribution is required.
