As a senior professional, you will play a pivotal role in leading research and analysis on First Nations water management policy issues.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead research and analysis on macro and micro policy issues across various scales, from global to local, and provide recommendations for improved recognition of First Nations values and objectives in the Basin Plan.
- Support the coordination of First Nations input into policy development as part of the Basin Plan Review, utilising negotiation and liaison skills with appropriate cultural competency.
- Develop strong working relationships with internal and external partners, particularly First Nations groups, and foster effective collaboration to achieve shared goals.
- Create detailed policy briefings, position papers, and reports on complex policy issues, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
- Identify risks and challenges to water reform implementation and develop innovative solutions to address these complexities.
