Job Summary

Melba Support Services is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate House Supervisor to lead our residential care team in Sale. As a key member of our Outcomes team in Gippsland, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities in a Supported Independent Living environment.

About the Role

As a House Supervisor, you will oversee the daily operations of the residential home, ensuring that the highest standards of care and support are maintained. You will work closely with our Operations Manager and Practice Quality and Safeguards team to ensure that our services are delivered in accordance with our values and principles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the residential care team to deliver high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized support plans that promote choice, control, and independence for our clients.
  • Manage all aspects of team performance, including rostering, performance management, records management, quality, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with our Practice Quality and Safeguards team to ensure that our services are delivered in accordance with our values and principles.
  • Advocate for the rights and interests of our clients and their families within the broader community.
  • Administer medication treatments and therapies as required, and seek assistance according to protocols.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Experience in residential care or a related field.Strong leadership and management skills to lead and motivate a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, families, and colleagues.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.Knowledge of disability support services and the Disability Services Enterprise Agreement (Victoria) 2018 to 2022.
