We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our team.
About the RoleThe Co-Gen plant is a vital part of our operations, diverting rejected material from landfill and creating both steam and electricity. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our plant.
Key Responsibilities- Perform field audits/checks and work closely with operation staff to ensure Fuel, Steam and Energy systems are operating safely, reliability and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory levels and engage suppliers as deliveries / removals are needed.
- Provide boiler, energy, fuel and steam system technical support to the site, including participating in the 24/7 on call roster.
- Participate in regular maintenance activities and troubleshoot issues to ensure continuous plant operation.
- Identify reliability improvement, energy efficiency and cost control projects for implementation and other continuous improvement initiatives to reduce cost and use of fuel, energy and steam.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, or process engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills enabling you to form strong relationships with stakeholders on all levels.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot complex production issues under pressure.
