Teaching Position

At West Coast Music School, we seek a skilled piano and guitar tutor to join our teaching team.

The successful candidate will conduct private lessons for students of all ages and proficiency levels, with a focus on children aged 8-12. We are committed to providing a supportive and encouraging learning environment that promotes musical growth and self-confidence.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop personalized lesson plans tailored to each student's learning style, goals, and abilities.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that fosters creativity and enthusiasm.
  • Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall student experience.

Requirements:

  • Proficiency in piano and guitar playing and a thorough understanding of music theory.
  • Previous experience in tutoring is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work independently and manage an established student load.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Availability requirements:

  • Must be available to work Monday afternoons from 3:00pm - 6:30pm.
  • Must be available to work Tuesday afternoons from 3:00pm - 6:30pm.
  • Availability on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons is also preferred.
