Key Legal Counsel Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced legal professional to provide expert guidance on key legal issues, including privacy, data protection, intellectual property, marketing, online safety, AI regulation, competition and consumer laws.

About the Position

As a key member of our Product and Privacy team, you will be responsible for identifying and advising on legal issues in key areas, building strong relationships with stakeholders, contributing to the development of company-wide AI policies, processes and legal frameworks, and participating in the review and coordination of potential privacy or data security incidents.

You'll have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product, and marketing, to launch exciting products and ensure compliance with applicable regulations. You'll also stay up-to-date with global AI and privacy regulations and industry standards.

Requirements
  • Legally qualified (AUS/NZ, UK, EU or US practising certificate)
  • 3-6 years practicing law with some experience in-house, preferably in a technology company
  • Familiarity with key digital, privacy and consumer protection regulations (e.g. EU AI Act, GDPR, Online Safety Act (AU, UK), Digital Services Act, ePrivacy Directive)
