Employment Opportunities Specialist

The role of Employment Opportunities Specialist is to manage a caseload and find employment for customers with a prior offender history.

This involves case management, undertaking 'reverse marketing' of customers to suitable employers, and running job search sessions.

Key objectives include generating suitable vacancies and job referrals, developing positive relationships with diverse customers, employers, and staff, and achieving individual targets and working to clearly defined KPIs.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess, match, and refer customers to appropriate job opportunities and advocate directly to employers;
  • Develop effective recruitment strategies to engage with potential employers;
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective service delivery;
  • Contribute to the development of job seekers' skills and knowledge to enhance their employability;
  • Work closely with employers to identify and create job opportunities that meet the needs of both parties;
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, job placements, and other relevant information.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in employment services or a related field;
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse groups, including customers, employers, and staff;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities;
  • High level of administration and data entry skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software packages.
