We're seeking a highly skilled Geology Professional to join our team at the Gruyere Gold Mine. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact project and drive its success.

The Gruyere Gold Mine, a joint venture between two companies, is located in Western Australia's Yamarna Greenstone Belt. Our mine boasts a plant production of over 300,000 ounces per annum with an enviable production profile exceeding 10 years.

As a Geology Professional, your main responsibility will be to provide quality geology technical services and work collaboratively with the broader mining team to maximise return from the operation.

This role offers a family-friendly roster and is available for FIFO from Perth or DIDO from the Goldfields region.

Your New Role:

You will interact daily with the Geology team to arrange daily work activities and ensure they are fully planned and coordinated. Your tasks will include:

  • Assisting with production activities such as ore mark-ups, ore spotting, and collecting in-pit samples
  • RC drilling activities including sampling and rock chip collection
  • Diamond drill core processing, cutting and sampling activities
  • Collaborating with project geologists and drillers to address any drilling or core-related issues
  • Ensuring that sample handling and data recording processes meet quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) standards
  • Completing all tasks associated with the daily and weekly sample dispatch services to the assay laboratory
  • Maintaining work areas clean, tidy and free of hazards
About You:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • A current Western Australian drivers' licence
  • A Forklift certificate (desirable)
  • An Apply First Aid certificate (desirable)
  • A basic level in Microsoft Office Applications
