Disability Life Skills Assistant

We are seeking a Disability Life Skills Assistant to engage with participants living with various physical and mental disabilities under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across homes in Southwestern Sydney.

This is a permanent part-time role of at least 15 hours per week with opportunities to pick up additional shifts across weekdays as required. The successful applicant will be working closely with individuals to aid with daily life activities, support their educational and work-related endeavours, facilitate access to community and social activities, and assist with transportation to enable access to daily activities.

  • Aiding with daily life activities and assistance for community support such as attending a doctor's appointment and shopping.
  • Supporting individuals with their educational and work-related objectives.
  • Facilitating access to various community, social, and recreational activities.
  • Assisting with transportation to enable access to daily activities and engagements.
Key Requirements
  • Previous experience in psychosocial disabilities.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain accurate case notes through a mobile phone.
  • Valid NSW Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Check.
  • NSW Driver's license (can be on Green P Plates), access to a reliable car, and comprehensive car insurance.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Desirable: Certificate III or IV in Disability or Individual Support.
