Our Sharpe Ward is a dynamic 40-bed surgical unit focused on musculoskeletal care, including hip and knee replacements, ligament repairs, and fracture management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality patient-centred care and achieve strong clinical outcomes.
  • Work alongside senior RNs, a Clinical Nurse Educator, and a hands-on Nurse Unit Manager to foster learning, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Expand your orthopaedic skills and grow into leadership roles in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and cooperation.

Some essential qualities we look for in our ideal candidate include:

  • Minimum 3 years' post-graduate experience in acute care; an orthopaedic background is highly regarded.
  • Strong emotional intelligence and a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including day, evening, and night shifts.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and perform well under pressure.
