Australian Defence Force Healthcare Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Australian Defence Force Healthcare Specialist to join our team at RAAF Base Edinburgh. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide quality clinical care to patients and work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest standard of patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain patient care plans in consultation with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Provide assessment of patients and coordinate outpatient and inpatient treatments
- Liaise with the healthcare team to ensure coordinated patient management
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA)
- A current Sexual Health and Family Planning Australia Certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health for Nursing or equivalent
- A minimum of 2 years full-time post-graduate experience within the previous 5 years in a sexual and reproductive health nurse role (or part-time equivalent)
- Authorised Cervical Screening Test (CST) Provider; CST Credential and Certification of the Credentialed Course for the appropriate State/Territory (note: if a State or Territory does not offer Authorised CST, Certification of the Well Women's Screening Certificate through Family planning Australia, or equivalent, is required for CST providers)
- Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification

Salary and BenefitsThe estimated annual salary for this role is $80,000 - $110,000, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits including paid annual leave, paid CPD leave, paid volunteer leave, and provision of uniform.
LocationThis role is based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, located 25km north of Adelaide. The base accommodates 3500 personnel from the Australian Army and RAAF, as well as being home to the RAAF Institute of Aviation Medicine.
