This exciting opportunity has arisen to join our vibrant and dynamic team as a Trainee Community Development Officer.

You will gain invaluable work experience, undertake a Certificate IV in Community Services/Development, and develop essential skills in community consultation, event support, communications, and project coordination.

As a Trainee, you will be part of a collaborative team working on engaging projects across the local government area. This hands-on role includes:

  • Community consultation and engagement: Build relationships with local communities and stakeholders to understand their needs and aspirations.
  • Event planning and coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of events that promote community development and social cohesion.
  • Communications and marketing: Develop and implement effective communication strategies to promote community programs and services.
  • Project coordination and delivery: Work collaboratively with team members to deliver projects that achieve community outcomes.

This is a temporary opportunity, working full-time 35 hours/week, with access to flexible time and study leave. You will have the opportunity to participate in internal networking events, develop your professional and social networks, and take advantage of industry-leading benefits.
