Job Title:

Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team in NSW, Australia on a 6-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the accounts receivable function, ensuring that all invoices are paid on time
  • Monitor and chase overdue debts, ensuring that debts are paid in a timely manner
  • Maintain accurate records of customer accounts and communicate effectively with customers regarding their accounts
  • Assess creditworthiness of new and existing customers and set appropriate credit limits
  • Work closely with other departments within the organization to resolve customer queries and disputes
  • Liaise with external debt collection agencies where necessary
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to accounts receivable
Requirements:
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with customers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong IT skills, including experience using accounting software
  • A proactive and flexible approach to work
  • 2-5 years' experience in accounts receivable or credit control
  • Ideally worked for a large company
  • Confident and professional
  • Experienced in Excel - pivot tables, v-lookups - intermediate to advanced
  • Must have a good attention to detail and high levels of accuracy
