Urology Specialist Role

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality inpatient and outpatient care by attending tutorials, participating in grand rounds, completing compulsory courses, and engaging in on-the-job training to meet college requirements and enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, determine suitable investigations, and establish management plans in consultation with consultants.
  • Provide comprehensive services to the Urology Department, including acute and elective adult urology, laparoscopic donor nephrectomy, and renal transplantation.
  • Ensure timely discharge planning for inpatients, where applicable.
  • Communicate assessment findings, proposed management plans, and alternatives to patients and carers, seeking informed consent.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to gather input for ongoing patient care.
  • Continuously monitor and review patient progress, adjusting management plans as necessary.
  • Maintain effective communication with General Practitioners, other healthcare providers, and carers to ensure seamless post-hospital care.
