Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team delivering exceptional, personalized supportive care in a clinical setting.

The Prostate Cancer Specialist Nurse will be responsible for providing advanced, patient-centred care and support for men with prostate cancer, including initial assessments, needs triage, care coordination, follow-ups, and identifying clinical trial opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based care and support to patients with prostate cancer
  • Act as a clinical resource, mentor, and technical expert in prostate cancer care
  • Drive innovation and service development across cancer care, surgery, and perioperative services
  • Participate in clinical research and contribute to data collection relevant to prostate cancer care
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Advanced clinical skills in cancer or urological nursing
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in a multidisciplinary setting
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to quality improvement and best practice

Desirable qualifications include postgraduate qualification, minimum 5 years post-registration experience, and significant experience in prostate cancer, urology, or oncology nursing.
