Maintenance and Reliability Expert

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our maintenance and reliability efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset management, with experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies.

The successful applicant will be responsible for:

  • Developing and directing programs to improve equipment reliability, availability, and cost effectiveness;
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals;
  • Leading the development of location business strategy, operating plans, and budget processes;

Key Responsibilities
  • Reliability Engineering: Develop, monitor, report, direct, and improve all aspects of reliability engineering, maintenance planning, and equipment/asset programs;
  • Business Strategy: Play an active role in the development of location business strategy, operating plans, and budgetary processes;
  • Asset Integrity: Responsibility for asset integrity assessment, change control, and remediation processes for the location.
Requirements
  • Engineering or relevant tertiary qualifications;
  • Experience in large scale production environments, preferably in alumina or similar industry;
  • Strong knowledge of asset management principles;
  • Ability to drive initiatives to reduce losses from equipment downtime and reduce maintenance costs;
  • Chemical processing environment background with sound understanding of the effect on equipment;
  • Prior experience in creating and implementing maintenance strategies;
  • Passion for excellence and continuous improvement;
  • Demonstrated best practice in regard to EHS to maintain a safe work environment.
