Job Overview

The role of Research Monitoring and Compliance Officer plays a vital part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality research at QUT.

This position involves conducting post-approval monitoring of activities related to research activities, research ethics committees, and clinical trials.

  • Provide advice and guidance to help address issues identified by monitoring activities;
  • Support the review of policy, procedures, and guidelines to ensure governance arrangements are in place;

Key Responsibilities:

This is a hybrid position that requires effective communication and collaboration with senior stakeholders and the broader research community.

About the Research Portfolio

The Research Portfolio is comprised of five units, including Research Strategy and Policy, Research Infrastructure, Sustainability Strategy, Office of Research Services, and Office of Research Ethics and Integrity.

Research Strategy and Policy provides strategy and policy advice and support to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor and Vice-President (Research) and manages the activities of the Portfolio Office.

What You Need to Succeed

To succeed in this role, you will need to demonstrate strong communication skills, build relationships with key stakeholders, and communicate the shared QUT values in your approach to work.

Qualifications and Requirements

You will need to have education, training, or experience equivalent to a degree with at least four years subsequent relevant experience. Additionally, you will need to be able to interpret legislation, policies, and procedures and provide accurate advice to stakeholders.
