About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Support Specialist to join our team at Amazon Corporate Services Pty Ltd. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues related to AWS infrastructure.

Job Description
  • Technical Expertise: You will have a strong background in software development, technical support, or a related field, with experience scripting in modern programming languages and troubleshooting and debugging technical systems.
  • Hardware Knowledge: Familiarity with Unix, RAID configurations, and web services is a must.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills are required to work effectively with cross-functional teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop tools to identify and remediate hardware issues.
  2. Drive operational efficiency improvements over the hardware fleet.
  3. Initiate service improvements in the production environment.
  4. Handle and troubleshoot support incidents within SLA's.
  5. Assist in developing methods for incident reduction.
  6. Monitor various data sources for unidentified fleet issues.
  7. Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support.
  8. Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve customer issues.
