The Mater Hospital Mackay is seeking a skilled Clinical Midwife to join our Maternity Unit on a permanent part-time basis.
Job Description:
As a Clinical Midwife, you will provide quality and cost-effective care in consultation with other members of the healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting staff in best practices for managing pregnancy care and improving outcomes for women in both antenatal and postnatal stages.
Implementing strategies to integrate quality and risk management into service provision under the guidance of the Nurse Unit Manager.
Providing clinical guidance, leadership, and education to ensure consistent and collaborative implementation of improvement activities.
Liaising with obstetric teams to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care and managing complex cases in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements:
You will need:
Current Midwifery registration with AHPRA.
Post-graduate midwifery experience.
Advanced clinical competency and the ability to maintain the highest standards of midwifery practice.
Effective communication and clinical problem-solving skills to maximise patient care within the multidisciplinary team.
