The successful candidate will join a dynamic team within a large organisation in the retail industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and manage the fixed asset register with accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Prepare and reconcile fixed asset schedules to support financial reporting, including balance sheet and P&L impacts.
  • Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes by recording depreciation, asset movements, and related journal entries.
  • Assist with budget planning and forecasting.
  • Perform asset impairment reviews and depreciation calculations in accordance with financial policies.
  • Collaborate with finance, procurement, and operational teams to track and validate asset acquisitions, disposals, and transfers.
  • Monitor and report on capital expenditure (CAPEX), ensuring alignment with project timelines.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing fixed asset and CAPEX documentation and financial analysis.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate accounting policies related to asset and CAPEX management.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve fixed asset and CAPEX accounting processes and reporting accuracy.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in Accounting or Finance.
  • CA/CPA qualified.
  • Proficiency in SAP with advanced excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
