Accounts Payable Officer: Financial Management Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Accounts Payable Officer to join our team at the Royal Agricultural Society of NSW. This is a full-time position based in Sydney Olympic Park, NSW.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the creditor ledger, processing supplier invoices, and organizing payments. They will also work with creditors to reconcile monthly statements and resolve any issues. Additionally, they will maintain our purchasing system and provide training to new users as required.
Duties and Responsibilities- Be the key point of contact for all account payable matters.
- Validate and process invoices, and organize payment runs.
- Creditor maintenance and reconciliations.
- Manage and maintain the purchase order system, including staff training.
- Organize competition prizes and other related payments.
- Liaise with external auditors during annual audits.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance.
- Experience in the end-to-end Accounts Payable processes.
- Completed tertiary accounting education.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ERP system, especially in creditors module. Experience in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains and/or Workplace is highly regarded.
- Understanding of relevant tax obligations and reporting requirements.
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide excellent service to internal and external clients.
