Payroll Specialist

Cement Australia is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in Darra. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for coordinating the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments, and providing exceptional customer service to our employees.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the payroll process, including new starters and terminations, legislated payments, and ad hoc payments.
- Ensure EA agreements and rate increases are accurately actioned within the payroll system and liaise with HR on interpretation of Agreement terms.
- Reconcile payroll and PAYE payments and resolve discrepancies in relation to novated leasing, superannuation, and other third-party payments.
- Process changes in our time and attendance system for wage employees.
- Contribute to business and process improvement initiatives.
- You will have 4+ years' experience in payroll, with knowledge of Payroll related legislation and compliance.
- Experience working in iChris or Chris21 would be advantageous.
- Experience working in Kronos would be advantageous.
- You will be proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Ability to problem solve and provide solutions for complicated queries.
- You will have an eagle eye for detail, coupled with strong customer service and communication skills.
- Act with integrity and sound judgement.
- Great job security with Australia's largest and most respected cement manufacturer.
