Home Care Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Home Care Assistant to join our team at KinCare in Canberra. As a Home Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our customers, enabling them to live independently in their own homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing personal care and domestic assistance to customers, including cleaning, meal preparation, and social support
  • Assisting customers with medication management, mobility, and therapy goals
  • Providing respite and emotional support to customers and their families
  • Working collaboratively with the care team to develop and implement individualized care plans

Requirements:

  • 6 months or more experience in a similar role, including experience with personal care
  • A current P1 class or above Australian Drivers License and a registered vehicle
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
