Research Scientist Position

We are seeking an experienced Research Scientist to join our team in the field of Chemistry and Neuroscience. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in drug development and testing, with a focus on building new therapeutic agents to combat Alzheimer's Disease.

  • The role involves synthesizing and characterizing small molecule portfolios, as well as testing them in binding assays and in vitro assays according to research protocols.
  • Responsibilities also include data management, documentation, and analysis, updating and maintaining databases for project samples and data.
  • The successful applicant will contribute to day-to-day laboratory management and work collaboratively with the research team.

  • You are a motivated and meticulous individual who takes initiative when completing assigned research project tasks.
  • You have experience in medicinal chemistry, chemical analysis, and drug testing.
  • You enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, and you are able to actively participate in group analysis work.
  • You have a strong service and quality focus, ensuring high levels of accuracy when completing tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, chemical engineering, engineering, material science, medical science, neuroscience, or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of lab administration and experimental planning.
  • Experience with medicinal and/or organic chemistry, and chemical analysis (including mass spectrometry, NMR, HPLC).
  • Experience with laboratory techniques such as molecular binding assays, western blotting, immunohistochemistry, molecular biology, and cell culture.
  • Experience working in a research laboratory and a thorough understanding of laboratory health and safety practices and principles.
