**About the Position**
Our Environmental business in Mayfield West is offering a full time position as Trainee Organic Chemist. This role presents an opportunity for someone who shares our passion for service delivery to work in our analytical laboratory.

Your confident communication, analytical and practical problem-solving skills will help you to manage and prioritise our sometimes demanding workloads. You'll need to be self-motivated, curious and ready to learn in this hands-on role. Progress into a trainee instrument chemist role may be possible after appropriate training and competency development.

This role will see you:

- Preparing, calibrating, maintaining and dispatching air sampling equipment
- Preparing samples and standards for analysis
- Liaising with analysts and client services staff
- Prioritising daily workloads
- Maintaining relevant documentation

**About you**
- Some lab experience would be helpful
- Bachelor of Science or equivalent (chemistry disciplines advantageous but all sciences backgrounds are encouraged to apply)
- A positive work attitude and a great team player
- Confident communication skills
- Strong organisational and time-management skills and able to quickly reorganise priorities
- Diligence in dealing with data and details and intermediate MS Office skills
