Job Title: Mechanical Fitters

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of conveyor systems and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and install conveyor systems according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections to ensure optimal performance and reliability of conveyor systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to identify opportunities for improvement and optimization of conveyor systems.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventory.
Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Engineering
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter or similar role, preferably in the conveyor industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with company policies and procedures.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate: up to $55 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Overtime: time and a half for the first two hours, double time thereafter
  • Travelling: paid at a single time when the client is paying
  • Living away from home allowance: $90 per night in the Mudgee Ulan area, $40 per night when staying at CIVEO Camp Boggab Work Ute provided for job-related travel
