Job Title:

Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

Visy Recycling seeks a Supply Chain Optimization Specialist to lead and optimize our vendor network, ensuring exceptional service delivery across the collection, processing, and transport of recyclables.

This role reports to the General Manager (Logistics) and is critical to ensure our operations run smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively while delivering exceptional service to our customers.

We are powering the circular economy, closing the loop between packaging, recycling, and remanufacturing.

As Australia's largest recycler, our extensive network of recycling operations is integrated with our manufacturing sites.

We collect and sort recyclable materials like paper, cardboard, glass, plastics, and metals from households and businesses, and locally remanufacture them back into new, sustainable packaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a high-performing vendor network aligned with Visy's pillars of Safety, Service, and Cost
  • Analyze and negotiate optimal commercial and service outcomes
  • Resolve conflicts and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Conduct site/vendor visits to ensure service quality and compliance
  • Drive network optimization and formalize agreements through contract execution
  • Champion safety compliance and environmental standards

  • Mandatory: Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills, Excellent relationship-building abilities, Collaborative team player, SAP and Excel proficiency, Experience in the waste or recycling industry
