Bequests and Legacy Manager Role

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the Foundation's growth strategy, driving a new era of philanthropic support. As a Bequests and Legacy Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and nurturing relationships with donors, clinicians, families, and the local community to deliver exceptional donor experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic development and implementation of bequest and legacy giving programs to enhance revenue growth.
  • Nurture and manage long-term relationships with confirmed bequest donors.
  • Identify and engage intending, considering, and prospect bequest donors, managing the pipeline and moves management plans.
  • Create tailored communication plans for potential donors, delivering outstanding donor experiences.
  • Implement and track supporter journeys for all existing and new bequest supporters.
  • Develop a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy to support bequest and legacy programs.
  • Organize a series of events within the hospital and local community to further engage committed and potential supporters.
  • Regularly review program achievements against set objectives.
  • Manage estate administration processes.
  • Contribute to budget setting and forecasting.
  • Engage the Foundation's Board of Directors and broader staff to leverage their support and solicit bequest leads and prospects.

The successful candidate will have experience communicating with bequest supporters and/or donors in the not-for-profit sector, demonstrable success in relationship fundraising, and a passion for delivering exceptional donor experiences.
