Executive Director, Corporate Strategy Job Opportunity

The position of Executive Director, Corporate Strategy has arisen within the Office of the Queensland Ombudsman. This role involves providing strategic advice to the Ombudsman and the Executive Leadership Team on governance, change, and risk management.

This is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader with proven corporate services expertise and transformational change, governance and risk management capabilities to join the organisation as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team.

About the Role
  • You will lead an effective enabling services function, driving major initiatives to support continual agency growth and transformation.
  • In addition to operational oversight, leading continuous improvement strategic initiatives, and managing a multi-functional team, you will prepare various reports and submissions, ensuring alignment with government priorities, and lead negotiations and communications across a broad stakeholder group.

The Executive Director plays a pivotal role within the organisation, navigating complex public administration policies and systems, identifying trends, inspiring and leading change initiatives, and navigating governance and risk within a complex evolving environment.
