About the Opportunity
The University of Melbourne's Faculty of Education is seeking a casual academic colleague to support subject development for a new Master of Education program. As a casual subject developer, you will work with faculty colleagues to coordinate content and design, identify appropriate readings and online materials, facilitate the creation of content videos, write module text, populate LMS sites, and develop relationships and logistics for possible site visits.Responsibilities will include:
- Developing content for the subjects, such as module descriptions, assignments, readings, and other asynchronous learning materials
- Populating the subjects' LMS sites
- Arranging site visits for some subjects
- Attending meetings and briefings as required
- Liaising with supervisor(s) and subject coordinators
About You
You are an experienced educator with a track record of developing engaging content for tertiary award courses. You have experience with and subject matter related to the course, including critical policy studies, social movement theory, social transformations and education, education policy, and/or Indigenous education, including ideally, Learning on Country pedagogical approaches.You will also have:
- A PhD qualification in Education or a relevant discipline
- Relevant academic or professional or practice-based experience and expertise
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge about sustainability and/or learning on Country experience
