About the Role

The E-7A Wedgetail Change Manager is accountable for leading and executing all facets of change activities within the portfolio. This includes managing contracts to meet customer requirements, as well as developing and implementing integrated organizational plans.

This role involves extensive customer interactions, including international negotiations, to support the establishment and management of individual projects within the portfolio.

The role reports directly to the E-7A Program Director and is a key member of the Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage teams performing business management activities, including project management.
  2. Develop and execute organizational strategies, policies, and procedures, guiding the development of business and technical objectives.
  3. BUILD collaborative relationships within and outside the organization to achieve work goals.
  4. Foster trust among stakeholders and leverage organizational dynamics to promote program goals by focusing on shared vision.
  5. Secure resources for organizational activities, provide technical management of suppliers, and lead process improvements.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports.
  7. Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  8. Manage, develop, and motivate employees and mid-level managers.
  9. Review and incorporate program metrics and control systems to monitor and manage each element of the constraints.
  10. Authorize workaround plans and schedules recovery plans, alternative options or scenarios, resource capacity plans, risk mitigation plans to balance the program portfolio as required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a senior program manager, preferably for complex acquisition projects with tight delivery timelines.
  • Knowledge of organizational development dynamics, principles (e.g., mitigate resistance to change, whole systems thinking, and design, organization design effectiveness).
  • Understanding of risk management methodologies, opportunity management, and issues management.
  • Able to develop positive, effective stakeholder relationships in a highly matrixed environment.
  • Support, lead, and delegate project team responsibilities and tasks throughout the project life cycle.
