Job Title: Workshop Plant Mechanic

The plant mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy equipment fleet. This critical position reports into the workshop supervisor and is based at our Bunbury branch.

This full-time position involves performing scheduled and daily maintenance servicing and inspections of mobile mining earthmoving and ancillary plant equipment. Tasks include maintaining accurate lubricant records and machine hours for each piece of equipment, supporting tradespersons through the maintenance process safely and efficiently, and reporting faults/defects using CAT Inspect.

Responsibilities also include operating a forklift and implementing product improvement plans. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer literacy, excellent verbal and written communication skills, experience in maintenance servicing of heavy equipment, and customer service and safety-focused qualities.

To succeed in this role, candidates must hold a current Australian Drivers Licence – C class or above, an Australian recognised Heavy Mobile Plant trade certificate with post-trade experience, and High Risk Work Licences for Forklift (FL), Dogging (DG), Rigging (RG), Working at Heights (WAH), and Confined Spaces (CSE).
