Job Title: Home Support Worker

Regal Care is a purpose-driven home care agency registered with the NDIS in Australia. We provide support to NDIS participants, Aged Care recipients, and private clients. We are seeking engaged and committed support workers who share our values of reliability, empathy, genuineness, accessibility, and leadership.

Job Overview:

Home Support Workers assist our clients with:

  • Personal care, including showering, grooming, and assistance with dressing.
  • Social support, including companionship and attending to community appointments or recreational activities.
  • Capacity-building activities to assist with learning new skills or increasing independence.
  • Domestic assistance, including meal preparation, grocery shopping, and light household cleaning and assistance.
  • Recording attendance through a smartphone application and summarizing tasks completed.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will be proactive in supporting individuals with unique needs and preferences with their daily living activities. They must also commit to work arrangements required to attend to the physical, psychological, and social support needs of our clients. We offer flexibility for work within school hours.

  • National Police Check (less than a year old if not NDIS Worker Screening Check).
  • Driver's License.
  • Comprehensively insured, registered, and well-maintained car.
  • Certificate III in Individual Support or a similar discipline.
  • Current First Aid and CPR qualifications.

NDIS Worker Screening Check or Working with Children Check is advantageous.

Remuneration:

Regal Care pays SCHADS award wages with generous bonuses pro rata to the jobs attended.

Selection Criteria:
  • Demonstrated ability to perform tasks referred to in the job overview.
  • Alignment with Regal Care values.
  • Ability to meet compliance and qualification criteria referred to in requirements.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Availability to work at least three days a week.
  • Registered, road-worthy, and insured vehicle.
