About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Liquor pillar at Metcash. As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, and data models.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide analytical support, and ensure that data-driven insights are effectively utilized to optimize business performance.
  • Analyse sales, inventory, customer, and market data to uncover trends and opportunities that enhance the performance of our liquor wholesale and retail business.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify business issues and opportunities for optimisation.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure that business needs are met.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience applying advanced analytics, database development, and data visualisation to complex issues.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Data Science, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Advanced Power BI Premium, Advanced 'Modern' Excel, Intermediate SQL.
  • Understanding of data visualisation principles and techniques.
  • Experience with data modelling, ETL processes, and database management.
