The Australian Public Service Commission is seeking highly skilled and experienced professionals to join our team as Legislative Support Managers, Regulatory Support Managers, and Legislative Support Specialists. These roles will play a critical part in supporting the National Offshore Petroleum Titles Administrator (NOPTA) and the Offshore Infrastructure Registrar in their day-to-day administration of petroleum and greenhouse gas titles in Commonwealth waters in Australia.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidates will be responsible for:
- Providing expert advice on established legislative and policy frameworks
- Managing complex legal and regulatory issues
- Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify opportunities and achieve outcomes
- Developing and implementing legal advice
- Overseeing the coordination of NOPTA's input to DISR's policy work on OPGGS Act related matters
- Developing papers, submissions, and reports on titles administration legislative matters
To be eligible for these roles, candidates must have:
- Experience working within a regulator/administrator, administering legislation
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (or be able to demonstrate commensurate qualifications/experience)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written)
- Proven ability to engage and collaborate with key stakeholders
- For the manager roles - Very good initiative and leadership skills, with experience in building a positive team and workplace culture
