The Catering Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the overall well-being of residents by providing nourishing and enjoyable meals tailored to their individual needs.
Responsibilities- Assist in meal preparation, which may involve chopping vegetables, assembling salads, portioning food, and preparing simple dishes under the supervision of the Cook or Head Chef.
- Help serve meals to residents during mealtimes, ensuring each resident receives the appropriate meal according to their dietary requirements.
- Prepare the dining areas before mealtimes, setting tables with clean linens and ensuring all necessary items like cutlery, plates, and glasses are in place.
- Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen and dining area.
- Interact with residents in a friendly and courteous manner during mealtimes, addressing their needs and requests as appropriate.
- Food Handlers Certificate is essential for this role.
- Awareness of adaptability, passion for learning, and willingness to grow.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
