Our company is seeking a skilled Account Manager to join its sales team in the optical industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with independent optometry customers, protecting core business, growing market share, and hunting out new business opportunities.

To achieve this, you will work directly with our customers to grow their business and ours through growth strategies for practices, upskilling practice staff on our products' benefits, and collaborating with our Customer Service teams to ensure exceptional service and support.

This role requires:

  • A vehicle and valid driver's license
  • Experience working with practice staff, either in B2B sales or within a practice
  • Ability to analyze sales data and convert it into actionable insights
  • At least three years of experience in optical sales (lens, customer service, lab, or retail)
  • Above-average Excel and Microsoft suite skills
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent business acumen, understanding of pricing strategy, and margins
  • Ability to train and upskill product knowledge to groups and individuals

Bonus qualifications include:

  • Qualifications and/or experience in Optical Dispensing
  • Prior experience using a Customer Relationship Management system and sales reporting software
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect and convert new business opportunities
  • Experience as an Account Manager
