Internal Audit Manager Job Description

Job Overview

  • We are seeking a highly skilled Internal Audit Manager to lead our internal audit team.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in internal auditing, leadership experience, and the ability to manage a team of 4 and provide guidance on audit planning, delivery, and reporting.
  • Responsibilities include managing stakeholder engagement, special projects, training and coaching, compliance, health and safety, and collaborating with first and second-line management.
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in a heavily regulated environment, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage conflicting priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver internal audit plans that meet business objectives and ensure timely delivery within budget and in line with KPIs.
  2. Prepare accurate and clear reports providing meaningful insights and collaborate with management regarding audit findings and actions that address root causes.
  3. Manage a team of 4, guiding, developing, and coaching to achieve high-quality results.
  4. Engage stakeholders effectively, including management, and provide advice and recommendations on audit-related matters.
  5. Contribute to the development of the internal audit strategy and identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in internal auditing, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality audit results and contributing to strategic decision-making.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Experience working in a heavily regulated environment is essential.
