
Senior Construction Planner Position

We are seeking a skilled Project Planner to join our Western Harbour Tunnel project team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, creating detailed programs, and monitoring performance to deliver high-quality outcomes on time and within budget.
The role will incorporate a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Implementing planning strategies and reviews for the construction team.
- Ensuring project planning activities are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with project teams, clients, stakeholders, consultants, designers, vendors, and subcontractors for effective management of the planning function.
- Highlighting any issues that may impact effective, efficient, and professional planning resources and support to the project.
- Implementing project monitoring systems, particularly focusing on time, cost, resources, and quality (project controls & earned value).
- Ensuring that planning and controls reports generated across projects provide maximum cost and time forecasting certainty.
- Producing reports on key performance indicators and tracking progress.
- Developing cost and progress S-curves.
- Preparing weekly updates and critical path schedule analyses.
- Analyzing schedule impacts and changes and developing recovery plans.
To be considered, you will have:
- A minimum of 1+ years' experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering or related disciplines.
- Experience using planning software and tools such as Primavera.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient stakeholder communication skills and ability to build relationships and rapport with people at all levels.
