The brand is on the lookout for a skilled Product Developer with a focus on footwear to enhance its dynamic team. In the role of Product Developer - Footwear, the selected individual will be instrumental in crafting the footwear collections, managing every phase from initial concept through to production. Collaborating closely with the creative team, they will help in designing unique and timeless products that align with the ready-to-wear collections.
Key Responsibilities |
- Work collaboratively with designers to uphold the highest quality standards for all footwear items.
- Oversee the complete design process, from the initial idea to final production, ensuring adherence to timelines.
- Produce detailed illustrations and technical drawings for review and presentation.
- Collaborate with the design team to realize their creative visions.
- Maintain communication with manufacturing partners to ensure smooth production schedules.
- Conduct fittings and provide constructive feedback to suppliers for optimal fit and finish.
- Work alongside Creative Directors to select materials and colors for the final products.
- Manage production timelines and provide regular updates on progress.
- Foster strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate pricing and ensure timely deliveries.
- Coordinate logistics and inspect product quality upon arrival.
Qualifications |
- A degree in Fashion Design or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in product development or design within the footwear sector.
- In-depth knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to adapt to changing work demands.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and design software, including Adobe Creative Suite.
