This role enables nurses to specialize in Theatres through a contemporary, market leading career pathway program, designed to accelerate learning while providing a nurturing and supportive environment, with guaranteed employment and commitment to ongoing professional development.

As the only national private hospital operator and healthcare provider in Australia, our 37 sites offer a range of acute, medical, surgical, mental health and rehabilitation services to the communities we care for.

About the Role:

  • A market leading 12-week Transition to Perioperative Nursing Scrub/Scout program.
  • Nurses who successfully complete this training will join our team part-time, minimum 32 hours over 4 days, with a view to increasing hours dependent on facility need post training.
  • Permanent employment as a Scrub/Scout nurse from day one.
  • Collaboration with highly experienced Theatre Clinical Facilitators dedicated to supporting nurse development.
  • An experience-based blended learning program with comprehensive training materials and coaching.
  • National study sessions for participants to connect with fellow nurses.
  • Celebrating achievements at the program graduation ceremony.

About You:

  • Hold permanent work rights within Australia with no restrictions.
  • Have at least 2 years of experience post registration in an acute hospital setting.
  • Hold a Registered nurse qualification with current AHPRA registration.
  • Hold a Working with Children Check, National Police Check or be willing to obtain.
  • Show a genuine interest and passion for the theatre environment and demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Be able to commit to a rotating roster including AM and PM shifts with potential for public holiday shifts and Saturday shifts once fully trained.
