About the Role

As a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional care to our patients throughout their procedures.

  • You will be responsible for aiming to achieve optimal patient outcomes by following evidence-based practice.
  • Your expertise and knowledge of procedures and patient management within the theatre complex will be essential.
  • Strategies will be implemented to ensure quality and risk management are integrated into daily activities.
  • Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team is crucial.
  • Maintaining current knowledge and skills through continuous professional development is vital.
  • Providing education and training assistance to other staff when necessary.
  • A Bachelor of Science (Nursing) or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of two years' experience as a Perioperative Scrub/Scout Registered Nurse is necessary.
  • Registration with no restrictions with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - AHPRA is mandatory.
  • Compliance with ACQSHC National Standards is required.
  • A Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing is highly desirable or working towards.
  • Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills are essential.
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is critical.
  • A proven ability to operate both in a team environment and autonomously.
