Job Description

The Mechanical Engineering Department is responsible for the design and development of mechanical systems for launch vehicles. As Deputy Head of Mechanical Engineering, you will oversee the team's efforts to create innovative and efficient solutions that meet customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall performance of the mechanical engineering department
  • Review and improve mechanical designs, structural interfaces, and temperature/pressure considerations
  • Develop and verify mechanical and structural systems
  • Support junior team members and contribute to their growth and development
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 8+ years of experience in a professional mechanical engineering setting
  • NV1 Security Clearance eligible preferred
  • Highly developed CAD skills or simulation skills with commercial FEA/Multiphysics software
