Job Title: Platform Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Engineer to join our team at Griffith University. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the high availability, resilience, and security of our platforms and business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and monitor pre-production and production application and integration environments/platforms
  • Work with projects and product teams to implement and/or support integrations between on-prem systems or hybrid integrations with third-party solutions
  • Support, installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of applications
  • Use observability tools to create checks, dashboards, and surface key metrics to support product teams
  • Use DevOps methodology and tools such as Azure DevOps, Octopus Deploy, and PHIRE to manage releases on key enterprise platforms
  • Automate repeatable processes
  • Work with projects and product teams to support and enhance their software delivery processes

About You

  • You have a can-do attitude and like working as part of a fun, supportive team
  • A desire to work with and learn a broad range of technologies and platforms, with the ability to specialise in a few key areas
  • A versatile IT professional with a background as either an Enterprise Applications Engineer, Integration Specialist, DevOps Engineer, or similar
  • Demonstrated technical competency, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with change management processes
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, along with the ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders

What We Can Offer

This is a fixed-term position until 31/12/25 based at our Nathan campus. As Griffith is a multi-site University, you may be required to work across other campuses.

Salary HEW 7, base salary range $96,800 - $127,000 per annum + 17% superannuation. The total FTE package is in the range of $114,660 - $148,900.
