About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality engineering outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing and developing minerals processing plants, including flotation, carbon-in-leach circuits, pumping systems, and conveyors.
  • Crafting detailed engineering packages including datasheets, equipment specifications, layout development, and drawing reviews.
  • Applying sound design theories, principles, and practices to deliver practical project outcomes.
  • Maintaining a working knowledge of bulk solids handling and conveyor design.
  • Managing multiple small projects concurrently and delivering them to the required standards.
  • Providing technical support during construction and commissioning activities on-site as needed.

This is an opportunity to take on a key role in the delivery of high-quality engineering outcomes while contributing to both greenfield developments and sustaining capital projects. Reporting to the Principal Mechanical Engineer & Group Manager.

Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Mechanical Engineering with relevant experience.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the mining and minerals processing industry, particularly with gold and copper projects.
  • Strong technical background and ability to review and guide design outputs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to juggle priorities across several smaller-scale projects.
  • Commitment to safety in design and design for constructability principles.
  • Familiarity with Australian and international engineering codes and standards.
