Theatre bars play a vital role in delivering an exceptional experience at the Sydney Opera House.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Leadership: Establish and manage the setup, operation, and decommissioning of multiple theatre bars during performance periods.
  • Act as shift lead or duty manager on the floor, overseeing bar teams and ensuring seamless service delivery.
  • Collaborate with Front of House and events teams to provide cohesive pre-show, interval, and post-show service.

As Duty Manager, you will assume full operational responsibility for theatre bars and associated areas. This includes conducting pre-shift briefings, compliance checks, and incident reporting.

To succeed in this role, you must possess strong operational knowledge of bar service, cash handling, and point-of-sale systems. You should also be able to effectively manage service in a time-sensitive, high-pressure environment.
