Operations Specialist

The role of Operations Specialist is a critical position where you will play a vital part in the management and oversight of our renewable portfolio.

As an innovative Australian business, we manage a diverse portfolio of over 3GWs across wind and solar energy sources. Our experienced leadership team has strong connections within the Australian electricity market, ensuring stability and growth for the organization.

This role can be carried out remotely from anywhere in Australia, with the team providing all necessary equipment to support your work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to our energy spot market and plant operation team
  • Assist in monitoring systems and auto-bidding software
  • Re-bid plant in the energy market under defined guidelines and procedures
  • Monitor dispatch outcomes and provide regular reporting
  • Support Operations Controllers and the Operations Manager
  • Identify efficiency and improvement areas across processes and procedures
  • Analyse operational data and provide ad-hoc reporting
  • Assist with intermediary services such as settlements and accounts
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong analytical background with attention to detail
  • Background in energy trading, spot trading or electricity generation operations (ideal but not essential)
  • Understanding of the NEM and key technical features
  • Able to operate in a dynamic environment with evolving processes and systems
  • Level-headed and able to make effective decisions under pressure
  • Ambitious and excited to build a career in operations of renewable generation and battery storage
